Zoe-perry

Perry is a Chicago native who was she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback), her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Perry was forbidden to perform in front of her family until she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might result in. Perry claimed that she was timid to perform during high school, but started performing at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, relocated in New York in search of acting roles on television. She landed small parts on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California to find theater work. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's drama The Family. Perry was also featured in the role of a political thriller Scandal along with her father. The actress was also featured on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The role was offered to her in an audition that was open despite being connected to this persona.
